Electronic Warfare (EW) is defined as operations to detect and reverse the use of the enemy’s magnetic waves while detecting the enemy and securing effective use of those magnetic waves for the friendly forces. EW systems fall into three categories: 1) Electronic Support Measures (ESM) provide electronic signal detection and identification, along with missile alarm systems; 2) Electronic Counter Measures (ECM) utilize jamming hardware and techniques (e.g. jammers and chaff systems) to render enemy detectors or ESM ineffective, and 3) Electronic Counter-counter Measures (ECCM) equipped with various transmitters, receivers, and digital processors capable of suppressing the enemy ECM.
Introducing and discussing EW products to the international market is a complex, sensitive, and specialized process. AVEX distinguishes itself from its competitors through the retention of on-staff EW experts and through the in-house ability to view and handle classified materials, as well as receive and store proprietary, and NOFORN data. We have the EW technical background and experience to match supplier capability to customer requirements and facilitate the optimum system purchase, while monitoring and expediting the issuance of the appropriate export documents. Simply put, AVEX can work with the suppliers to gain a real competitive edge.
AVEX senior staff possess a combined total of over 50 years of technical, programmatic, and field operational experience in EW associated disciplines. AVEX’s longstanding personal relationships in the Aerospace / Aviation industry enables us to tap into experts in the areas of jammers, chaff / flare countermeasures, infrared countermeasures (IRCM), towed decoys, unmanned targets, UAVs, and more. Our information channels allow us to step beyond the usual sales and marketing liaisons to discuss the technical matters directly with the individuals that can make a real difference in future business success.
